When we chose Yakobovich to build our new home, we didn’t know quite what to expect…
… we soon learned that no detail would be too small, no concern would be ignored and no call or text would go unreturned.
Our process began with a visit to the architect. When the drawings came back, we were amazed. It was perfect. We felt like everything we said had been heard – our custom home was ready to be built. The process went very smoothly. Each time we visited the house, there was progress.It was so much fun to watch. We quickly noticed that the attention to detail was second to none. The house was built meticulously. Our cabinets were tailored to our exact specifications. From the framing to the dry wall to the finishing work, the workmanship was superior.
The staff at Yakobovich work for the company; the trades are not contracted out. So, we quickly learned who was who and developed a rapport with the staff. Everyone was so accessible. Each person was only a call or text away. We felt like everyone listened to our ideas and if a concern arose, it was dealt with quickly.
Throughout the process we received impeccable customer service. We are just thrilled with the quality and the look of the final product. Thanks to Yakobovich, our family will make memories in the home of our dreams.

It’s been over two years since we built our home with you …
… and we are still receiving compliments from everyone who visits. As soon as you enter our home it is easy to see that a lot of thought and attention to detail went into building it. From the high quality, solid wood finishing to an extremely sound structure. Yakobovich builds an impressive home. Aside from the aesthetic beauty you are able to offer, there were many other aspects about building with you that we appreciated.
It was our first home, and you allowed us to be true partners in the build. From design concepts to final details it really felt like we were able to contribute to the final outcome. One way that you made us feel this way was with your down to earth and approachable attitude. What your see is what you get – and we appreciate that. We even felt comfortable talking to the people who work with you, they were all very professional and easy to talk to. Everyone took the time to explain the process and options to two first time home builders who were trying to make their home special.
And finally Greg, we always felt (and still do) that you were personally accountable for your finished product. When we did the “check out” at the end and we required a few “tweaks” you were there to ensure we were happy. You demonstrated to us that when you make a commitment you keep your word, something that we value very much, and is unfortunately not something that we come across everyday.
So once again Greg, thank you so much for your help, and your ongoing support. I am sure we will be building another Yakobovich home in the future.

On behalf of Karen, TJ and I, we would like to thank you …
… for construction of such a fine home. While the possession date was somewhat later than we had thought we do realize that between some very poor weather and the delivery of the home package some delays were unavoidable.
On the other hand the end product is really outstanding. You and your people caught some things during construction that saved us money and changes later. The attention to detail and your selection of outstanding sub-trades all combined to produce a very good home. It was nice to move into a home with virtually everything finished. We know many homes on the same crescent built by some of your competition are still not totally finished some 18 to 24 months after possession.
Greg, we have ended up with a home that is clearly “top end” in terms of construction and finish without having to pay “Cadillac” prices. Throughout the construction we found you good to deal with and appreciate being able to deal with someone who we can depend on and who lives up to verbal commitments. While we did have a written contract it is always a good sign when neither of us had to refer to the contract after it was signed.
We would gladly commend you and Yakobovich Homes Ltd. to anyone who is planning to build a new home. We wish you every success in the future.

Hi Greg!
I just wanted to send you a quick email to once again thank you and your crew.
As you know we recently experienced a bad wind storm with gusts well over 100 kms per hour. Every house on our block received some sort of damage. Not our house. We did not have a single shingle out of place. You build a high quality house at it certainly shows when something like this happens. Be sure to thank everyone on your crew (especially the roofing guys) for a great job!
